Tuesday’s data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health showed the highest daily increase of COVID-19 cases so far, with 2,875, bringing the statewide total to 214,871.
Elk County’s case count went up by 18 to 221 — 183 confirmed cases and 38 probable cases.
McKean County saw 7 additional cases for a total of 172, 136 confirmed and 36 probable cases.
Potter County saw 2 additional cases for a total of 66 — 62 confirmed and 4 probable cases.
And even Cameron County saw an increase, with 3 additional cases for a total of 14 — 12 confirmed and 2 probable.
In McKean County, Bradford saw 4 additional cases for 56 confirmed and 15 probable; Kane, 25 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Eldred, 11 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Smethport, 10 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Port Allegany, 5 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Crosby, Turtlepoint, Rew, Gifford and Cyclone, 1 to 4 confirmed; Derrick City, 1 to 4 probable; and Duke Center, Rixford and Lewis Run, 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
In Elk County, Ridgway saw an increase of 6 cases for 32 confirmed and 13 probable; St. Marys saw an increase of 4 to 83 confirmed and 10 probable cases; Johnsonburg saw one additional case for 32 confirmed and 9 probable; Wilcox, 10 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Weedville, 10 confirmed; Benezette, 5 confirmed; Kersey and Byrnedale 1 to 4 confirmed; Sigel and Brockport, 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport is up to 28 confirmed cases and 1 to 4 probable; Shinglehouse has 14 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Roulette, 8 confirmed; Harrison Valley, 5 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; and Austin, Galeton, Ulysses and Genesee, 1 to 4 confirmed.
In Cameron County, it appears that all of the cases were in Emporium.
Statewide, only 5 counties have fewer than 100 cases: Cameron at 14; Forest, 19; Sullivan, 22; Potter, 66; and Warren, 78.
Twenty-six counties have between 100 and 1,000; 30 counties have between 1,000 and 10,000; and six counties have more than 10,000 case — Lancaster, 10,164; Bucks, 10,679; Delaware, 14,219; Montgomery, 14,629; Allegheny, 16,210; and Philadelphia, 40,853.

There are 3,846 individuals who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 646 individuals who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 2,354,346 individuals who have tested negative to date. There are 1,352 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 301 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
