Cameron County to hold Veterans Day events

EMPORIUM — The Cameron County Memorial Detail is planning to hold events on Veterans Day.

Starting at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 11, wreaths will be presented and an honors ceremony will take place at Cameron County Veterans Park. Then, the Memorial Detail will move to the World War monument at the courthouse. American Legion Post 194 members will have a Veterans Day presentation and the Memorial Detail will have a gun salute and “Taps.”

After, a small luncheon will be available to all attendees at the Cameron County Vets Club.

Due to difficulties with logistics over COVID-19 at the Cameron County High School, no program is being held there this year.
