The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of Monday, there were 2,060 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 211,996. Daily increases are now the highest they have been since the start of the pandemic.
In McKean County, there are a total of 165 cases, 129 confirmed and 36 probable. This is an increase of three from Sunday’s report. Currently, McKean County has recorded 5,544 negative tests and two deaths. In Bradford, there are 52 confirmed and 15 probable cases; Lewis Run has 1-4 confirmed and 1-4 probable cases; Rew has 1-4 confirmed and 0 probable cases and Kane has recorded 25 confirmed and 1-4 probable cases.
For Elk County, Monday’s total was 203 cases, an increase of five from Sunday. This includes 166 confirmed and 37 probable cases. The county has 3,245 negative tests and two deaths recorded to date.
In Ridgway, there are 26 confirmed and 13 probable cases; Wilcox has 9 confirmed cases and 1-4 probable; St. Marys has 79 confirmed cases and 10 probable and Johnsonburg has recorded 31 confirmed and 9 probable cases.
Potter County is reporting 64 cases, an increase of four from Sunday. This includes 60 confirmed and 4 probable cases, with 1,478 negative tests and 1 death to date.
Coudersport has 27 confirmed cases; Shinglehouse has 13 confirmed cases and Roulette has 8 confirmed cases.
Cameron County is also reporting an increase, with 11 cases, which is an increase of one since Sunday’s report. This includes 9 confirmed and 2 probable cases, with 539 negative tests. Cameron County remains the only county in the state to have yet to report a death due to COVID-19. Emporium has reported 8 confirmed cases and 1-4 probable.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1 is 257,836 with 15,907 positive cases. There were 35,182 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Oct. 31 and 25,395 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Nov. 1.
There were five new deaths reported Sunday, and six new deaths reported for Monday, for a total of 8,823 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 2,338,664 individuals who have tested negative to date. Of those who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows: approximately 1% are ages 0-4; approximately 2% are ages 5-12; approximately 5% are ages 13-18; nearly 14% are ages 19-24; nearly 36% are ages 25-49; approximately 21% are ages 50-64; and nearly 21% are ages 65 or older.
