SMETHPORT — A Duke Center man accused of stealing from a local oil & gas company pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court.
Shane C. E. Lamberton, 30, of Duke Center, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft. According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, between Dec. 1, 2018, and Dec. 31, 2019, he used a card belonging to Dallas Morris Drilling to purchase items totaling $3,778.54. Shaffer noted that the plea agreement was offered on the basis that Lamberton provided full restitution prior to entering his plea. He will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Also in court, Nicholas M. Dash, 24, of Kane pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault-mutual consent. On May 10, entered into a scuffle with a 16-year-old; the teen said, “Hit me, then,” and Dash punched the teen in the nose, causing a bloody nose, according to Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy. Dash will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Marvin R. Baskerville, 53, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade said that on March 31, during a dispute with a female, Baskerville put the female in fear of injury by putting his hand over her mouth and pulling her hair. He will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Tanya M. Graves, 31, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and a summary charge. On July 5, Graves, while operating a vehicle without permission from the vehicle’s owner, struck another vehicle and failed to stay at the scene of the accident, according to Shade. Graves will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Lawrence D. Cook, 41, of Olean, N.Y., pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft. President Judge John Pavlock outlined the allegations, saying that Cook took $593.98 worth of merchandise from Walmart. Cook will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Anthony R. Bernardi, 22, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to summary charges of criminal mischief and trespassing. Shade said that on Nov. 11, Bernardi damaged a window screen when he entered a Cyclone residence through the window. He will be sentenced Dec. 10.
Accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program were Kimberly K. Burgess, 52, of Bradford, Shelby Gleason, 29, of Port Allegany, and Tammy A. Stoddard, 45, of Duke Center, all for DUI-alcohol/controlled substance; and Karen Rounsville, 62, of Lewis Run, and Jennifer L. Phillips, 39, of Bradford, both for DUI-alcohol.
