AUSTIN — For anyone who’s ever discovered an animal skull during a woods-wandering and wondered what species it was from, here’s a chance to learn.
From 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday — Halloween — Sinnemahoning State Park is offering an opportunity for visitors to get “a-head” on their wildlife knowledge and learn to identify skulls based upon their characteristics. The program will include hands-on practice with many different mammal species and is sure to be engaging for all ages.
Group size is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, so pre-registration is recommended. Facemasks and social distancing are required. Meet in the classroom of the Wildlife Center.
To pre-register for the Skull Identification Program, or for more information, visit the DCNR Calendar of Events at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov. For assistance with online registration, call the park office 814-647-8401 and dial 0 for the front desk.
