In response to a letter in The Era on Oct. 19 from John Jeselnick: Mr. Jeselnick contrasts the “brash promises” of President Trump with the “calming commitments” of Joe Biden.
President Trump has been lauded for the remarkable number of his promises kept. The list is long and I will name only a few, but his efforts have been universally attacked by a hostile Democratic Congress.
He has blocked efforts to overturn the Hyde Amendment. This amendment prevents the continued use of federal dollars for abortion. Without the Hyde Amendment, Congress could continue to give Planned Parenthood its gift of half a billion dollars each year. Trump has been called the most pro-life president in history.
Biden has promised to codify abortion at any time during pregnancy — this in spite of his claim to be a devout Catholic.
Biden has been refused Communion by many priests. Father Frank Pavone of Priests For Life recently wrote a six-page letter praising Trump for his many remarkable achievements.
Trump has filled more than 200 judicial vacancies with originalist judges and is about to fill a Supreme Court vacancy with brilliant jurist Amy Coney Barrett.
Earlier this year, Biden showed his racist, arrogant side by telling a Black man that if he didn’t vote for him he wasn’t Black.
President Trump is building the wall against all odds, etc., etc.
