LEWIS RUN — A 62-year-old Bradford man died after he was struck by a tree at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Corydon Township, Lewis Run-based state police reported.
Police did not release the name of the deceased man.
According to police, about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the McKean County 911 Center contacted troopers regarding a man who was struck by a tree in the area of West Washington Street and Meadow Lane in Corydon Township.
When troopers arrived on scene, they determined that the deceased man and two other males had been cutting down a tree on the victim’s property, and the tree struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting state police were McKean County Coroner Michael Cahill, the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department and Bradford City Ambulance personnel.
The investigation continues.
