Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary in conjunction with VFW Post 212 will host a VFW Family Freedom Fest from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in the VFW Events Center at 94 Barbour St.

This event is family friendly and will be for all ages. Post 212 and Auxiliary 212 will have a recruitment area for anyone who may have questions on how to join, what is needed and what the groups do.

Activities will include drawings, games, prizes and giveaways.

There will be different stations of things for children to do. Papa Jim’s Storytime will take place at 1 p.m. for children of all ages. Also, there will be police and fire safety information and snacks. A coloring contest will be held.

Information will be available for the VFW’s scholarships.

Attendees should enter from Barbour Street. Parking is available at the Stoney North parking lot directly across the street. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
