Coudersport 2, Elk Catholic 1 (OT)
KERSEY — Jacob Hooftallen’s pair of goals rallied Coudersport from a late one-goal deficit for a 2-1 overtime win at Elk County Catholic.
The Crusaders initially jumped out to a 1-0 lead midway through the second half after Anthony Messineo scored on a penalty kick.
But in the game’s waning minutes, Hooftallen struck on a PK of his own, and then in overtime knocked in the golden goal on assists by Andy Chen and Christian Furman.
Chen had played the ball down the field before centering to Furman. Furman dropped the ball back to Hooftallen, who dribbled to the right side before sending the ball into the corner of the net for the winner.
Rosalyn Page made 11 saves in the Falcon (5-5-1) win.
