Audri Marconi notched a double-double of 12 kills and 14 digs to lead Kane to a sweep of Bradford at the Owls’ Nest (25-23, 26-24, 25-19).
Bradford (2-7) was paced by six kills each from Emma Swanson and Lydia Sarnoski. Sarnoski also had four blocks. Alix Ordiway added five kills.
Kane (7-2) picked up seven kills each from Sarri Swanson and Cora Jekielek. Swanson had six digs. Emam Ely supplied 29 assists, while Swanson had six blocks at the net.
“It was back and forth the whole night,” Bradford coach Steven Daniels said. “It seemed like every time it was on the verge of being done, Marconi would come to the front row. She personifies volleyball and class to a ‘T.’”
Elk Catholic 3, St. Marys 1
ST. MARYS — After dropping the first set, Elk County Catholic managed to win the next three (19-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-13) on its way to a road win over St. Marys.
Brooke Bauer finished with 12 kills and two blocks for the Lady Crusaders, while Maddie Marzullo recorded 11 kills to go along with four blocks. Moira Stanish racked up 39 set assists during the win and three aces and Gabby Weisner added eight kills and nine digs. Julia Aikens had five kills and 19 digs, Tami Geci posted 26 digs and Abby Hasselman finished with 16 digs.
For the Lady Dutch, Samantha Vavala had 15 assists, while Lindsey Reiter had eight kills.
