Three local counties have seen increases in the number of COVID-19 cases in the past few days, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health data released on Monday.
Elk County’s case count has increased to 85, up three cases from over the weekend. McKean County’s case count has increased to 78, up 6 cases from the weekend. Potter County has seen an increase of one case, to a total of 37, while Cameron County remains at 8.
Bradford has had 20 confirmed cases and 7 probable, the data indicated.
Kane has had 16 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Eldred has had 6 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable. Mount Jewett has had 6 confirmed cases. Lewis Run has had 1 to 4 probable cases. Rew has had 1 to 4 confirmed cases. Duke Center and Port Allegany have had 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys has had 20 confirmed and 6 probable cases.
Ridgway has had 16 confirmed and 9 probable cases. Johnsonburg has had 9 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Weedville has had 8 confirmed cases.
Wilcox has had 5 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
Brockport, Kersey and Benezette have had 1 to 4 confirmed cases. Sigel has had 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
In Potter County, Coudersport has had 13 confirmed cases.
Roulette has had 8 confirmed cases. Shinglehouse has had 7 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Harrison Valley has had 1 to 4
confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Austin and Ulysses have had 1 to 4 confirmed cases.
On Monday, the health department indicated there were 1,088 new cases, in addition to 1,166 new cases reported on Sunday, for a two-day total of 2,254 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 173,304.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Oct. 5 and 11 is 239,484 with 9,117 positive cases.
There were 23,061 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m. Oct. 11. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There were 6 new deaths reported Sunday, and 18 new deaths reported for Monday, for a total of 8,368 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
