Elk and McKean counties both saw increases of 3 cases of COVID-19 with Thursday’s reporting, according to the state health department.
Kane was up to 16 confirmed cases, and 1 to 4 probable cases. Bradford remained at 13 confirmed cases and 5 probable cases, Mount Jewett and Smethport each had 6 confirmed cases. Eldred had 5 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Lewis Run had 1 to 4 confirmed cases, while Port Allegany and Duke Center each had 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
In Elk County, St. Marys has had 20 confirmed and 6 probable cases, while Ridgway has had 15 confirmed and 7 probable cases. Johnsonburg has had 9 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases. Weedville has had 7 confirmed cases.
Wilcox has had 5 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases
Kersey, Brockport and Benezette have had 1 to 4 probable cases, while Sigel has had 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health indicated that statewide, there were 1,376 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 167,928.
Allegheny is reporting an increase of 128 cases and Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 122 cases.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Oct. 1 and 7 is 210,227 with 7,585 positive cases. There were 32,653 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Oct. 7.
There are 8,299 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 27 new deaths reported.
