SMETHPORT — Take Off Pounds Sensibly #623 met on Tuesday with weigh-ins at 4:30 p.m. at Chico’s Cafe and Bake Shoppe, located at 101 W. Main St. in a Smethport.
Ten members weighed in with a loss of 3 pounds. The group lost a total of 19 pounds for the month of October. Ann was the best loser for October. The “no no” is ice cream.
The club began its Stepping Contest this week. Jayme read an article called “Smoothie Smarts,” which listed the ingredients in a healthy smoothie: protein, fats, carbs, veggies and fruits. To be healthy, care should be taken to be sure there isn’t an abundance of sweets and calories. Kathy led the group in chair exercise.
