HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Health indicated Wednesday that there were 1,309 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 166,552.
Potter County’s case count rose to 34, three more additional cases, with 1,191 negative tests — 12 additional negatives.
Elk County has had 78 positive cases, with 2,600 negative tests —14 additional negatives.
McKean County’s case count remained at 63, with 4,600 negative tests — 40 additional negatives.
Cameron County’s case count remained at 8 with 466 negative tests — 6 more negative tests.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6 is 200,610 with 7,429 positive cases. There were 36,675 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Oct. 6.
There are 8,272 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 28 new deaths reported.
There are 963 cases who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 646 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 1,967,542 patients who have tested negative to date. Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:
Nearly 22% are ages 65 or older.
