The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday confirmed that there were 672 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 164,207.
McKean County’s case count was adjusted down by one case to 62, with Bradford’s cases decreasing from 14 over the weekend to 13 with Monday’s reporting. According to the health department, cases may decrease if a person’s actual address is outside of the county where the positive test occurred.
The health department said to date, there have been 4,539 negative tests in McKean County.
Elk County’s positive case count rose to 78, with 60 confirmed and 18 probable cases, and 2,568 negative tests.
Potter County has had 30 cases, with 27 confirmed and 3 probable cases. There have been 1,166 negative tests.
Cameron County has had 8 cases and 456 negative tests.
Statewide, the number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Sept. 28 and Oct. 4 is 187,158 with 7,385 positive cases. There were 18,466 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Oct. 4. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There are 8,227 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 11 new deaths reported.
In McKean County, there have been COVID-19 cases at two long-term care facilities, The Lutheran Home at Kane and Sena Kean Manor. Neither has active cases at this time.
Sena Kean has had a cumulative total of 2 confirmed resident cases and 8 confirmed staff cases, while as of Oct. 1, there were no current cases, according to the facility’s website.
Lutheran Home reported one positive employee on Sept. 3; one positive employee Sept. 2; and one positive employee and one positive resident on Sept. 19.
In Elk County, Elk Haven Nursing Home had a cumulative total of 1 confirmed resident case and 3 confirmed staff cases. There are no positive cases at this time, according to the facility’s website.
