SHINGLEHOUSE — The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library is offering a new auto-renewal service for patrons.
As a courtesy, the library will now attempt to renew checked-out items on their due date. Patrons will receive an email with the success or failure of this process and the new due date.
The reason for failure to renew might be that another patron has placed a hold on that item, in which case the original due date is still in effect. The library hopes this new feature will be a benefit to patrons and also help to reduce overall costs to the library.
The library is open to the public at its
regular operating hours: noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
For anyone who still does not wish to enter the building, the library will still offer curbside pickup. Call 814-697-6691 with any requests.
Patrons can search the card catalog by visiting the library’s website at ovmlibrary.org. They can also log into their account and renew books or put a book on reserve.
