Bradford now has had 14 positive cases of COVID-19, and 5 probable cases, according to data released Sunday by the state health department.
McKean County has had 63 positive cases, and 4,513 negative tests. Kane has had 15 confirmed cases and 1 to 4 probable cases, according to the health department. Smethport and Mount Jewett each have had 6 confirmed cases. Eldred and Port Allegany each have had 1 to 4 confirmed cases and 1 to 4 probable cases. Lewis Run and Rew have had 1 to 4 positive cases. Duke Center has had 1 to 4 probable cases.
Statewide, the health department indicated there were 2,251 additional cases of COVID-19 over two days, bringing the statewide total to 163,535.
The number of persons tested and reported to the Department of Health within the last 7 days (between Sept. 27 and Oct. 3) is 187,883. Of these, 23,979 persons were reported on Oct. 3.
There are 8,216 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 17 new deaths reported.
The case counts for Elk and McKean counties rose over the weekend.
According to the data, Elk County has had 77 cases with 2,562 negative tests.
Cameron County stayed the same with 8 cases, and has had 455 negative tests. Potter County stayed the same with 30 positive cases, and 1,165 negative tests.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
