An Erie woman was sent to McKean County Jail following an arraignment on burglary allegations Thursday night.

Courtney LaJudice, 29, of 2814 State St., is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespass, a second-degree felony; terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a second-degree misdemeanor; three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors; and several summary offenses.

According to the criminal complaint, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police were called to North Center Street where LaJudice was attempting to kick in the front door of a residence. Police said the occupant of the home tackled her off the porch, and when police arrived, she was in front of the Choice store. When an officer went up to speak to her, she told him to arrest her or “I’ll give you a reason to arrest me,” the complaint stated.

The officer asked her to step up onto the sidewalk, and she continued shouting before pulling three used syringes out of her pocket and handed them to the officer, saying “There, now you have a reason to arrest me, pig.”

She began to walk away, and was cuffed, at which time she became aggressive, shouting and pushing. A second officer arrived and helped get her into the patrol car. She continued yelling, and told the officer that she hoped he would die, the complaint stated.

When she was interviewed by police later on, she said she was trying to get into the house because she thought it was an unoccupied home where someone was selling methamphetamine, the complaint alleged.

She was arraigned Thursday night before on-call District Judge Bill Todd, and remanded to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday before District Judge Dom Cercone.
