KANE — Audri Marconi tallied 14 kills as Kane swept Bradford (27-25, 25-11, 25-21) at home on Tuesday.
For the Lady Owls (1-4), Alex Asp had six kills and three blocks, Alix Ordiway had five kills and Lydia Sarnoski added four kills and a block.
“We’re going to fix our defense. Our offense is finally coming around, and we’re figuring stuff out,” Bradford coach Steven Daniels said. “But the thing that we really need to start focusing on more is play recognition, knowing who’s outside and in the middle and what we can do to stop the other team. We’re growing, and that’s key right now.”
In addition to Marconi’s 14 kills, Kane (4-2) picked up seven kills and six blocks from Sarri Swanson and 27 assists from Emma Ely. Ronnie Costanzo had six digs.
Cameron County 3, St. Marys 0
ST. MARYS — Cameron County swept St. Marys (25-22, 25-6, 25-21) Tuesday on the road.
Morgan Lorenzo recorded 14 points and four kills for the Lady Raiders, while Mallory McKimm tallied 13 points and seven kills during the win. Kaelee Bresslin added 11 kills and Reggie Goodrow had 21 assists. The Lady Raiders now stand at 6-3 on the season.
Johnsonburg 3, Elk Catholic 1
ST. MARYS — Elk County Catholic won the first set, but couldn’t maintain that advantage in a 3-1 loss (23-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-19) to Johnsonburg.
Maddie Marzullo had eight kills for the Lady Crusaders, while Haley Baron registered seven. Brooke Bauer had four kills, two blocks and three aces, and Moira Stanisch provided 21 assists, five kills and an ace.
