A Bradford man was arrested Monday after he allegedly made odd statements in a bank drive-thru and at the Bradford City Police station while under the influence.
Shawn M. Cabisca, 29, whose is listed in court both as being homeless and as living at 41 Main St., Apt. 307, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of possession of marijuana-small amount for personal use, a misdemeanor, and public drunkenness, a summary charge.
According to the criminal complaint, at 8:53 a.m. Monday, a teller from Northwest Bank on Main Street called 911 to report that a man went to the bank drive-thru and asked them to call 911; the teller called because she was worried someone was hurt. The man then left the drive-thru and went behind the Option House.
At 9:11 a.m., Cabisca went to the police station by bicycle, arriving wearing a pair of gym shorts but no shoes, socks or shirt. There were minor cut marks on his face, neck, back and both arms and legs, and he appeared to be under the influence, the complaint stated.
Cabisca told police that a man was holding his girlfriend against her will in a room at the Option House, according to court records.
“Cabisca also stated that on floors 3 and 4 of the building that there were multiple hidden doorways and compartments where people and items were stored,” the complaint stated.
An officer went to the Option House, where the building owner told him that no woman with the name Cabisca provided was currently staying there. The officer went to the room where Cabisca’s girlfriend was allegedly being held and was met at the door by a different female, court records indicated.
An officer called the woman who Cabisca said was his girlfriend, and she told police that she is no longer dating Cabisca; in fact, she said that last she knew, he was dating a different woman.
Cabisca was found to be in possession of marijuana when he went to the police station, according to the complaint.
Cabisca is incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of 10% of $10,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 7.
