The weekly meeting of Take Off Pounds Sensibly #16 was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The First Presbyterian Church, 54 E. Corydon St.
Leader Vickie Johnson called the meeting to order with the TOPS and KOPS Pledge.
Assistant Weight Recorder Barb Smead and Co-Leader Dianne Lewis weighed in 20 members with a loss of 10.8 pounds and two staying the same.
Officer of the Week is Jeanne Lowe. Secretary report was read by Jeanne Lowe.
Nickelodeon was cake. The fruit is watermelon, and the vegetable is broccoli. The food to avoid is cookies.
The Food Chart was won by Jeanne Lowe.
The Healthy Tips were by Elaine Harrie, the Fashion Tips by Dianne Lewis and the Household Tips by Chris McCracken.
Members drew names for a buddy of the week.
Members were reminded to bring Ziploc baggies for the Friendship Table.
Marion Lineman gave a program on exercise and her trips.
The meeting was adjourned with the Friendship Circle and the TOPS Prayer

Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary met Wednesday evening in the VFW club rooms at 94 Barbour St.
Pennsylvania Department Jr. Vice President Valerie DeCorte and District 19 Sr. Vice President Barbara Lawrence were in attendance for the auxiliaries annual inspection. Bradford 212 had a favorable inspection.
On Sunday, the auxiliary is having a breakfast to go for $10. Biscuit/sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes, ham, fruit, cinnamon roll, coffee and orange juice. Preorders can be given to Amy at 331-1142. Helpers are asked to be at the Vets Club by 8 a.m.
On Oct. 19, there will be chicken and biscuits to go for $5. Make preorders to Amy at 331-1142.
The Family Freedom Festival will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 25, held by the auxiliary in conjunction with Post 212. There will be a variety of activities and information available, as well as Post/auxiliary recruiting. Families will be invited to bring their little ones and see what is going on. Activities will include storytime by Papa Jim.
The Veterans Day Dinner will be held Nov. 13 with a menu to be announced soon.
Dues for 2021 membership are being accepted now. Those who get their dues in early will be entered into cash drawings and dinner. The early dues dinner will be Nov. 21.
A vote was taken for the next meeting to be moved to Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
Members were reminded to vote on Nov. 3. They were also asked to check on their neighbors, local veterans and each other occasionally, as these are tough times for everyone.
