The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce’s Autumn Auction, formerly known as Oktoberfest, will still go on this Thursday at the Pennhills Club, albeit a little bit differently this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the auction slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, which are limited, are $30 each or two for $50 prior to the event, and $35 the day of the event.
Executive Director of the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, Heidi Scrivo Passmore, explained the measures that will be implemented at the event this year, to help protect the safety of guests and volunteers.
“People will be asked to wear masks unless they are sitting at their table with people they know,” she explained.
“Everyone’s temperature will be taken at the door and they will be asked to use social distancing. We’ll also be scattering auction items throughout Pennhills and have two sanitizing stations available, as well as safety ambassadors.”
Additionally, a tent will be available outside on the patio with the doors open, so the event can easily accommodate 250 people at 50% capacity.
Big ticket items include an ultimate women’s package, including a year of unlimited yoga, Northern Lights wax warmer, purse, jewelry, makeup items and a standing jewelry armoire; man cave with a western style lamp, neon beer clock, three-foot decorative stein and beer; 4-burner gas grill; fall decor package; Christmas decor package; and a sportsmans package, including a trail cam and a Case hunting knife.
Passmore expressed thanks to all those who helped with the event, including Shults Toyota, Northwest Bank, the Blaisdell Foundation and ARG.
