ST. MARYS — Maddi Cowburn returned from an injury to score two goals and add an assist as Bradford stormed past Elk County Catholic, 7-0.
Kelsea Austin also posted a pair of goals and a helper, continuing her impressive start to the season.
“Now with Maddi back, it’ll open things up more,” Bradford (4-0) coach Warren Shaw said. “It’s very hard to stop those two, especially when you have people like (Emily Bosworth) and Chloe (Shaw) in the middle playing balls the way they do. We have a nie little group as long as we can round it into shape.”
Bosworth added a goal while Shaw had an assist on the night. Marissa Miller scored once, Emily Morgan had a goal and assist and Mackenzie Lucas tallied three assists for the Lady Owls, who have outscored opponents 27-1 in four games to start the year. Goalkeeper Lea Kakolewski had five saves.
Shaw added, “The midfield once again played a great game, and Lauren Placer was excellent in the back. She continues to do a great job.”
