The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday indicated that there were 234 new cases, in addition to 733 new cases reported on Sunday, for a two-day total of 967 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 150,812.
Elk County has had 67 cases and 2,366 negative tests; McKean County has had 56 positives and 4,185 negative tests; Potter County has had 26 positives and 1,063 negative tests; and Cameron County has had 8 positives and 429 negative tests.
According to the data, Kane has had 15 confirmed cases, and 1 to 4 probable cases; Bradford has had 7 confirmed cases and 5 probable cases; Smethport has had 6 confirmed cases
Lewis Run has had 1 to 4 confirmed cases; Duke Center has had 1 to 4 probable cases; and Port Allegany and Eldred each have had 1 to 4 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable cases.
In Elk County, the majority of cases have been in St. Marys, Ridgway and Johnsonburg. According to the health department, St. Marys has had 18 confirmed and 6 probable cases; Ridgway has had 10 confirmed and 6 probable cases; Johnsonburg has had 9 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Weedville has had 5 confirmed cases.
All 8 cases in Cameron County have been in Emporium,
In Potter County, the majority of the cases are in three locations: Coudersport has had 9 confirmed cases; Shinglehouse, 5 and 1 to 4 probable cases; and Roulette, 5 confirmed.
Eleven counties remain under 100 positive cases: Venango with 81, Wyoming with 72, Elk with 67, Tioga with 64, McKean with 56, Fulton with 44, Warren with 42, Potter with 26, Forest with 15, Sullivan with 11 and Cameron with 8.
A total of 42 counties remain under 1,000 positive cases, while 25 have had more than 1,000.
Four counties have had more than 10,000 positive cases: Philadelphia with 30,987, Montgomery with 11,962, Allegheny with 11,779, and Delaware with 11,158.
There were 25 new deaths reported Sunday, and 23 new deaths reported for Monday, for a total of 8,004 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Locally, two people in Elk County and two people in McKean County have died from COVID-19, the department indicated. There are four counties in the state which have had no deaths from the virus: Cameron, Potter, Forest and Sullivan counties.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Sept. 14 and 20 is 180,596 with 6,135 positive cases. There were 23,140 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Sept. 20. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
