Jacob Hooftallen, Garrett Kellert and Ethan Ross each scored for Coudersport (1-1). Hooftallen and Christian Furman assisted on Kellert’s goal, while Dan Allenbaugh had a helper on Ross’ score. Page finished with five saves.
River Cramer scored the lone goal for Port Allegany (0-2). Ty Guilds recorded seven saves in the loss.
“It’s a good win. It was a good team effort, and we passed well,” Coudy coach Erich Zaun said. “The team did a good job of keeping possession and sometimes putting it over the defense to get those runs.”
Elk Catholic 6, Northern Potter 0
ST. MARYS — Five different Crusaders scored as Elk County Catholic easily handled Northern Potter.
Anthony Messineo scored twice for ECC (2-0), while Percy MacDonald, Timmy Brannick, Tanner Pasi and Eddy Messineo each tallied once.
“Our kids came out tonight and played very well,” ECC coach T.J. Weaver said. “We haven’t played Northern Potter in a while, so we didn’t know what we were in for. Defensively, we came out strong and about nine minutes (into the game) we went up 3-0.
“The defense kept the ball on the attacking side of the field for most of the first half, so I was very pleased with our back four guys and our keeper play.”
The shutout was ECC’s second in a row. NoPo fell to 0-2 with the loss.
