The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday indicated there were 776 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 146,990.
Elk County has had 66 cases with 2,307 negative tests; McKean County, 51 with 4,047 negative tests; Potter County, 25 with 1,046 negative tests; and Cameron County, 8 with 415 negative tests.
Eleven counties remain under 100 positive cases: Venango at 79; Wyoming at 72; Elk at 66;
Tioga at 53; McKean at 51; Warren and Fulton each at 42; Potter at 25; Forest at 14; Sullivan at 10; and Cameron at 8.
Forty-three counties have had less than 1,000 cases; 20 counties have between 1,000 and 10,000 cases; and four counties have more than 10,000 cases.
Philadelphia County is the highest in the state, with 30,620 positive cases and 253,875 negative tests. Montgomery County is second with 11,738 positives and 133,833 negative tests. Allegheny County is third with 11,431 positive cases, and 161,074 negative tests. Delaware County has had 11,006 positive cases, and 97,902 negative tests.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Sept. 9 and 15 is 173,790 with 5,855 positive cases. There were 24,442 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Sept. 15. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There are 7,903 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 28 new deaths reported.
