RIDGWAY — Emma Swanson paced Bradford with seven kills as the Lady Owls toppled Ridgway 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20) on the road Tuesday night.
Alex Asp added three kills and three aces for Bradford (1-0), while Alix Ordiway contributed five kills and a pair of aces.
“It was a tough opening night, and Ridgway came out after us,” Bradford coach Steven Daniels said. “I wouldn’t say we were lucky to get the win, but we outlasted them. We played solid defense tonight, really solid defense.”
The Lady Owls host Johnsonburg Thursday.

Cameron County 3, Austin 0
EMPORIUM — Cameron County swept Austin (25-15, 25-8, 25-14) for its second win in as many nights Tuesday.
Hailey Hilfiger (3 kills) and Morgan Lorenzo (6 kills, 3 aces) each registered 13 points for the Lady Raiders, while Sophie Fragale added six points and four kills.
For Austin (0-2, 0-2), Kendra Valenti had four kills and three aces.
Galeton 3, Coudersport 1
GALETON — Galeton won for the second-straight night by topping Coudersport, 25-17, 27-25, 22-25, 25-22.
Avaree Kellert recorded 10 kills and 10 digs while Mackenzie Gentzyel notched 31 digs and two assists for the Lady Falcons (1-1, 1-1). Paige Watson added five digs and seven kills while Vanessa Van Why contributed 10 digs and three aces in the loss.
Northern Potter 3, Smethport 0
ULYSSES — Northern Potter rebounded from its opening-night loss to Otto-Eldred with a sweep of Smethport (25-20, 25-16, 25-12).
For the Lady Hubbers (0-2, 0-2), Bailey Fitzsimmons had 12 digs and two kills, while Dani Nelson had five kills and three blocks. Chloe Costa added seven digs and a pair of aces.
Stats for Northern Potter (1-1, 1-1) were not available.
Otto-Eldred 3, Port Allegany 0
PORT ALLEGANY — Behind Reilly Raught’s 10 kills, Otto-Eldred took home a road sweep of Port Allegany (25-11, 25-17, 25-14).
Raught added three aces, four digs and five blocks for the Lady Terrors (2-0, 2-0), while Haley Cousins added eight digs, six kills and three aces. Emmalee Sheeler racked up 19 assists for O-E.
For Port A (1-1, 1-1), Shannon Curfman had three kills and a pair of aces and blocks, while Madeline Smith (2 kills) had nine digs. Jade Evens added eight digs, Tori Tanner had nine digs and Marah Rush logged eight assists.
