The Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital foundations will host “A Girl’s Night IN!” on Oct. 8.
The live streaming event is being held in lieu of the long standing “A Girl’s Night Out” which was held annually at the Seneca Allegany Casino. All proceeds from the event will benefit local cancer care at BRMC and OGH.
“When we realized our popular event couldn’t happen in the same fashion because of the pandemic, with a hard working committee, we decided to get creative and come up with something the community could safely enjoy,” said Steve Jackson, president, OGH Foundation. “Through the vision of our staff and boards, ‘A Girl’s Night IN!’ was born.”
“I’m delighted that given the current social restrictions, we were able to rework the format and continue this worthy event,” said Francie Ambuske, executive director, Bradford Hospital Foundation. “As always, we are so grateful for the women who enjoy coming together while helping to advance much needed cancer care in our communities.”
The event will feature a variety of ways for people to participate. For $35, participants can pre-order dinner from one of four local restaurants to take home and enjoy. They will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a customizable vacation package. The second way to participate includes bidding on online auctions which will be available from Oct. 1-8. There is no cost to preview auction items. Lastly, the public is invited to tune in from the comfort of their homes Oct. 8 starting at 6 p.m. The live stream event will feature live music, guest speakers, and a live handbag auction.
