Zonta Club
The Zonta Club of Bradford held its first luncheon meeting of the 2020-21 year. The meeting was held at The Bradford Club.
Newly elected President Fran Stewart started the meeting with The Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the Zonta Blessing. A business meeting was held before the members enjoyed lunch.
The guest speaker was Michelle Chapman from Ameriprise in Bradford. Chapman spoke about financial and estate planning. The group enjoyed the very informative presentation. She also answered questions from the women.
The meeting ended with several members giving “Happy Dollars” to celebrate happy times in their lives. Patti Neidich and Helen DeFrank drew the winning 50/50 ticket, which was won by Fran Stewart.
The next meeting is Sept. 22 at The Penn Hills Club.

TOPS #16
The weekly meeting of Take Off Pounds Sensibly #16 was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church on 54 E. Corydon St.
Leader Vickie Johnson called the meeting to order with the TOPS and KOPS Pledge. The weekly song was “The More We Get Together.”
Weight Recorder Carole VanSickle and Assistant Weight Recorder Barb Smead weighed in 18 members. One member is keeping calories, and nine are excused.
Jeanne Lowe gave the secretary’s report. Carole VanSickle won the Food Chart.
The Nickelodeon was all chips. The fruit is grapes, and the vegetable is green beans. The food to avoid is all chips.
The program included reading articles from Woman World magazines, followed by discussions.
The meeting was adjourned with the Friendship Circle and the TOPS Prayer.
