MARIENVILLE — The Forest Service will temporarily close Forest Road 134, from Sept. 8 to 25, for road construction and the installation of a new large culvert.
The closure will be located at the intersection of where Forest Road 134 crosses Maple Run road in the Highland Township, Elk County.
Due to the nature of the construction project, which requires in-place poured concrete footers, the closure will be longer than normal to allow for the proper for curing time of the concrete.
The new culvert will allow for better aquatic organism passage.
For questions regarding the closure or other project details, contact Marienville District Ranger Rob Fallon atrob.fallon@usda.gov, or call the Marienville Ranger District office at 814-927-5700.
