There was no change to positive COVID-19 case counts in the local region on Tuesday, and the state health department has grouped McKean, Elk, Cameron and Potter counties into a low risk level with 17 other counties.
Locally, Elk County has had 64 cases and 2,086 negative tests; McKean, 35 cases and 3,662 negative tests; Potter, 24 cases, with 941 negative tests; and Cameron, 8 cases with 379 negative tests.

For last week, the local counties were named in a group for low level transmission, along with Bedford, Bradford, Clarion, Clinton, Forest, Fulton, Greene, Jefferson, Juniata, Pike, Somerset, Sullivan, Tioga, Venango, Warren, Wayne and Wyoming.
In the moderate level, 45 counties were listed: Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Berks, Blair, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Carbon, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Columbia, Crawford, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Erie, Fayette, Franklin, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mercer, Mifflin, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, Snyder, Susquehanna, Washington, Westmoreland, York.
Union County was the only one listed as a substantial level of transmission, “with several known sources of outbreaks fueling community transmission. The departments of Education and Health will speak with school district representatives in Union County to discuss the implications of this level of transmission,” according to the governor’s office.
The state also modified the list for travelers of at-risk states, where self-quarantine is recommended upon returning to Pennsylvania. Arizona was removed from the list, but the other states remain. They are Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
