The Arts Council of McKean County is inviting artists, age 4 to 94, to participate in the 2021 Calendar Project by submitting original artwork.
This is a fundraising calendar campaign to encourage local artists to participate in a juried art competition, with winners’ artwork selected for 1 of 3 unique calendars for 2021. The council is hoping to make the contest an annual event.
Anyone who lives in McKean County is eligible to enter, with any medium of art. There is no entry fee.
Entries from artists of all styles — photography, painting, ceramics, woodworking, culinary, macaroni, watercolor, pen and ink, jewelry, crafts, metal work, glass work — may enter up to 3 pieces per artist, as long as it is all original artwork.
The deadline is Sept. 21.
All entries must be submitted with the council’s entry form, which can be found online at www.mckeanarts.org. Official rules, regulations and drop off sites can also be found on the site.
In the Bradford area, including Eldred and Smethport, drop off artwork, with completed entry forms, to 105 Mechanic St., The Sacred Spaces Holistic Center, Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or at other times by appointment.
