CLARENDON — Chapman State Park has announced programs it will offer Aug. 28-29.
All programs are free and open to the public.
“Nature’s Construction Crew” will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 28.
Join park staff to learn about beavers and how they change the environment and benefit other animals. Participants will take a short walk to look for signs of beaver activity and the mammal itself. The program is limited to 15 participants.
“Moth Mayhem” will take place from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29. According to organizers, not all Pennsylvania moths are drab gray and brown. Many are colorful. Attendees will spend some time with forest program specialist Tim Tomon and Pennsylvania’s moths during this evening program. Bring a flashlight. This program is limited to 25 participants.
Participants of both programs are asked to occupy designated areas to meet social distancing guidelines. Face masks are required to be worn at all programs and events.
