PORT ALLEGANY — S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library is asking the public to “Join us to boldly go where no Library Auction has gone before!” when it holds a Virtual Library Auction Fundraiser Nov. 10-13 on iBid.org.
The Virtual Silent Auction bidding, as well as Buy It Now Item virtual shopping, will begin Nov. 10.
The Virtual Live Auction will be broadcast via Facebook Live at 8 p.m. Nov. 13. The library suggests that participants consider having a private “Watch Party” for the Live Auction with friends and family.
Winners may pick up their auction items after noon on Nov. 14 at Port Allegany Veteran’s Memorial Inc.
All bids, winning item payments, and donations will be completed online through iBid.org virtual fundraising. A link to register to attend the Virtual Library Auction and more information about this virtual fundraiser will be posted on the library’s FaceBook page.
Donations for the auction are currently being accepted at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library until Nov. 6.
Large cash donations will be given the following distinctions: Milky Way, $1,000; Big Dipper, $750; or Shooting Star, $500. For business or corporate sponsorship, contact the library at 814-642-9210 or Mary Burr at 814-598-1982.
