EMPORIUM — The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library is here to help residents with the census.
On Friday, representatives from the U.S. Census Bureau will be outside the library from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer questions and provide assistance with the Census.
The library has made it easy to fill out the census online by creating a one-click link on all patron computers to the census form. Attendees should bring their census letter, as they will need it to complete the form.
While at the library, pick up a Census Coloring Contest entry form in the foyer. Co-sponsored by the Cameron County Commissioners and Census Bureau, this contest will offer prizes, and children 12 and under are invited to participate. The contest is open now through Aug. 28.
Each year, Census data informs federal funding for more than 100 programs, including school lunches, highway construction, and education.
Census Coloring Contest entries are to be taken or mailed to the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce once completed.
Entries can also be picked up at the Chamber, The Memorial Hall, Northwest Saving Bank, FuelOn, the Buttonwood, the Moose, the Driftwood Saloon and Grill, the Sinnemahoning Tavern, and the Sinnemahoning Sportsman’s Club, as well as with meal pick-ups from the Driftwood Senior Center.
