A Coudersport man will serve a term in state prison for allegations he had sexual intercourse in front of two juveniles.
Perry B. Green, 32, of Coudersport, was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court before President Judge John Pavlock. On May 4, Green pleaded guilty to charges of corruption of minors and produce/present/direct obscene performance-minor.
Green will serve 15 to 30 months in state prison with credit for 172 days of time served. He must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law for his lifetime, too. He is to receive a mental health evaluation focusing on sex offender treatment, and he is to have no contact with the victims or the victims’ immediate family.
District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer explained on the day Green entered his plea that between June 1 and July 17 in 2019, at two locations in McKean County, Green had sexual intercourse with his adult girlfriend within close proximity of two juvenile females, ages 13 and 14. Also, Green had inappropriate physical contact with and instructed the juveniles on how to perform sex acts. He also provided adult beverages for them.
On Thursday, Shaffer read aloud a letter from one of the teen victims, who wrote, “Perry Green is a bad person who should go to prison for a long time.”
The victim stated that Green used threats and physical abuse to control his girlfriend, and she described the lasting impact Green’s actions have had on her mental health and her family relationships.
Speaking on his own behalf prior to sentencing, Green said, “I realize I’ve hurt a lot of people.” He went on to explain that he wants to hurry to get back home and get back to work.
A codefendant in the case — Green’s then girlfriend, Leola S. Davis, 33, of Leechburg — has a last day to plea conference scheduled for Aug. 20. In the meantime, she has been released on her own recognizance.
