Governor Tom Wolf announced Thursday he is dedicating approximately $10.5 million to Career and Technical Education Centers (CTC) in Pennsylvania to assist them in implementing public health and safety plans and help them to resume operations.
Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center will receive $44,847 from the dedicated funding, which will support effective continuity of education programs, such as summer and other expanded programming, and industry credential assessments for students enrolled in CTCs negatively impacted by COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act authorizes governors to determine the educational use of Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Funds.
