A Bradford man was sent to McKean County Jail for allegedly taking another person’s car without permission, and threatening to shoot the owner if she called police.
Harold Green, 28, of 86 Congress St., is charged with terroristic threats and theft, both first-degree misdemeanors; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a second-degree misdemeanor; and several summary offenses.
According to the criminal complaint, on July 12, Bradford City Police were called to 180 East Main St. for a dispute over a vehicle. The female victim told police she had purchased a car from a private seller and had it at her residence, yet to be registered or insured. She said Green had visited her and when he left, he took the keys and drove the car away, the complaint stated.
She said Green had told her that if she involved the police, he would go to her residence with a gun and kill her, and would hurt all her loved ones, the complaint alleged.
Green was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Dom Cercone and remanded to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Aug. 12 before Cercone.
