A Port Allegany man is in McKean County Jail after he allegedly threatened and assaulted a woman on Tuesday.
Frederick W. Cochran Jr., 67, was arraigned overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday before District Judge Richard Luther on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of harassment and criminal mischief.
According to the criminal complaint, at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, Lewis Run-based state police were dispatched for a 911 hang-up call on Two Mile Road, Liberty Township.
At the scene, a female told police that Cochran shoved her into a door, causing a bump on her head and damaging the door; her elbow was also hurt in the altercation, the complaint stated.
Two other witnesses told police that earlier in the day, the victim told Cochran that she was going to call the cops and he would go to jail; Cochran replied “that it would be her last on earth,” the complaint stated.
Cochran is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 10.
