Bradford City Police are investigating two separate stabbing incidents — one from last Friday night on the Barbour Street bridge and the second from Tuesday morning at the Holley Hotel.
Both victims survived; both were taken to trauma centers for treatment. The male victim in Friday’s altercation has been released. The female victim from Tuesday’s incident is in UPMC Hamot in critical condition.
Bradford City Acting Police Chief Mike Ward explained both investigations are progressing, and both were considered isolated incidents with no danger to the public. Charges are being prepared in both cases, and both suspects are known to police.
Friday’s incident involved two adult males, and began as a fist fight until one male pulled a weapon and stabbed the other male in the neck.
Tuesday’s incident involved a call for a domestic dispute in room 265 at the Holley Hotel at 8:53 a.m. Ward said an adult male and adult female were arguing when the adult male stabbed the female, a 32-year-old Bradford resident, in the abdomen. She was taken to Hamot for treatment. The male had a laceration to his hand.
City police are working with the McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer on the investigation into the matter, Ward said.
