An Ormsby man is facing aggravated assault charges after an alleged domestic dispute over the weekend.
Brian E. Conner Jr., 30, of 10822 Route 59, Ormsby, was arraigned Sunday before District Judge David Engman on charges of aggravated assault under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, a first-degree felony; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony; two counts of simple assault, first-degree misdemeanors; recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment.
According to the criminal complaint, at 4:05 a.m. Sunday, Lewis Run-based state police were dispatched to the intersection of Lindholm Road and Route 59 in Keating Township for a report of an active domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend.
During an argument, Conner allegedly struck a woman in the face with a handgun and pushed her to the ground by the throat, causing her to have breathing issues, the complaint stated. Police reported that the woman had redness, swelling and blood on the right side of her face, and there was a small laceration above her right eye.
She was transported by ambulance to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, according to court records.
Conner is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for July 27.
