KANE — The Kane Area Food Pantry monthly distribution will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane.
The Food Pantry will distribute pre-packed boxes at the corner of Chase and Haines Streets in drive-thru style. New clients are asked to call 598-6162 or 594-6918 before Thursday to ensure enough boxes are prepared.
Persons who wish to receive food items are asked to come at the following times, according to the first letter of their last name. For July, the schedule is:
• noon to 1 p.m. L through R
• 1 to 2 p.m. S through Z
• 2 to 3 p.m. A through E
• 3 to 4 p.m. F through K
Participants must come during the scheduled time, or after that time. Also, they must bring proof of identity and address. Proof of income is not required during the month of July. Only persons living in the Kane Area School District are eligible.
