SMETHPORT (EC) — So far this year, 19 Master Gardeners have been trained. These volunteers are from Smethport, Kane and Bradford.
The Penn State Master Gardeners of McKean County program has scheduled another basic class beginning Oct. 1.
“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the classes will be conducted completely online,” said Gloria Wilson, coordinator of the program. “Those who register for the training will be able to access the live lecture every Thursday night at 6 p.m. from their homes, and hands-on activities will be done in a different manner.”
An informational webinar is slated for Sept. 9 or people may register for the classes before then by emailing gjw5260@psu.edu for more information and an application.
