The numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 in Elk County went up again with Thursday’s report from the state Department of Health.
The department listed Elk County as having 29 cases, with 25 confirmed and four probable. There have been 1,297 negative tests.
According to information from the department, and from the webpage of Elk Haven Nursing Home, one resident of the facility had a confirmed case, as did three staff members.
The other local counties remain stationary. McKean County remains at 20, with 2,148 negative tests. Cameron County remains at 4 with 284 negative tests. Potter County remains at 17 with 338 negative tests.
Statewide, there were an additional 719 cases reported as of Thursday, according to the health department, for a total of 92,867 cases statewide. There have been a total of 6,848 deaths statewide to date, and 787,156 patients have tested negative to date.
