A Bradford pair were arraigned Wednesday afternoon on allegations of breaking into a home while the resident was out of town.
Erica Herbstritt, 19, of 33 ½ Leland Ave., upper, and Bailey Duell, 86 Main St., Apt. 3C, were both charged with criminal trespass — breaking into a structure, second-degree felonies; and criminal mischief — damaging property, second-degree misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaints, at 10:32 p.m. June 29, Herbstritt and Duell were seen by neighbors kicking in the back door of a residence on Pleasant Street in Bradford. When confronted, they claimed they had permission to be there; they did not.
Both were arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and were freed on $5,000 unsecured bail. Both are scheduled for preliminary hearings before Cercone at 9 a.m. on July 15.
