CLARENDON — Chapman State Park has announced several programs for the weekend of July 17-19.
“Movie Night: Hooked on Hummingbirds” will be held from 8:30-9:30 p.m. July 17 in the amphitheater, or Pavilion 4 if it rains. Visitors can sit under the stars for a film featuring close-up footage of hummingbirds flying, feeding, fighting and nesting. Attendees are invited to bring chairs.
On July 18, there will be two nature scavenger hunts in the amphitheater. Attendees will see how many natural items on the list they can find. There will be prizes. Attendance is limited to 25. Hunts will take place from 7 to 7:30 p.m. and from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
At 10 a.m. on July 19, there will be a non-denominational chapel service in the amphitheater, or in Pavilion 4 if it rains.
All programs are free and open to the public. No registration is required, and activities are first come, first served.
Participants will be asked to occupy designated areas to meet social distancing guidelines. Possession of face coverings will be required to attend all programs.
