Is anyone wondering about the yard signs around town this weekend that said #BradfordStrong?
The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off a new campaign with these signs to encourage the community during these challenging times.
The BACC Board brainstormed how they could best support the local business community. The chamber is already providing education and information on numerous grants, loans, webinars and programs which provide funding and supportive services. So, what additional element could they provide?
Over the last several months as a chamber, board members witnessed the community pull together. They saw thousands of masks being made for anyone that needed one, with no questions asked. They saw lunches being purchased for healthcare workers as well as people providing financial support to those who were laid off. There were days this generosity brought board members to tears.
“Bradford is such a strong, kind hearted community,” the chamber stated in a press release. “This campaign is an effort to remind our little town of our strength. We know how to triumph; we know how to support one another. And as a business community we know how to grow in adversity, because we are #BradfordStrong.”
The chamber will continue to grow this campaign. They will be looking for sponsors, too. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a project, reach out to Heidi at exedir@bradfordchamber.com or 814-368-7115.
Northwest Bank is sponsoring the kick off.
The chamber will also expand this campaign into the community. A committee of community members is being formed to plan projects to help spread this positivity. Anyone interested in joining the committee should reach out to the chamber
The #BradfordStrong yard signs are for sale at the chamber office for $15. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment.
