There is no danger to the public in relation to the death of a young Galeton woman, officials have said.
Potter County District Attorney Andy J. Watson confirmed Wednesday that the death of Kathleen Marie Stirnaman, 29, is under investigation as a possible “drug delivery resulting in death.”
Watson could not provide details on a search performed June 25 at a Ulysses residence.
“The search was done at a separate address that belonged to a known suspect in the Ulysses area,” Watson said. “No one has been arrested or charged yet for the Drug Delivery Resulting in Death investigation, as we are awaiting autopsy and toxicology results. There is no danger to the general public right now, to my knowledge.”
Stirnaman had been staying at 23 Rush Creek Lane in Ulysses when, according to police reports, Sweden Township Police officers and an ambulance were dispatched to that address at 8:45 a.m. on June 25. Upon arrival, police said Stirnaman was found, deceased.
Later the same day, a search warrant was executed within Ulysses borough. Several agencies cooperated on the search warrant, including Potter County detectives, the East Drug Task Force and both Galeton and Shinglehouse Borough police departments.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sweden Township Police or call the Potter County 911 Center.
