Eldred woman allegedly stabs man’s hand during argument
An Eldred woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly stabbed a man’s hand and struck him in the face, then endangered children when she broke a window with a chair.
Samantha L. Harp, 25, of 1 Cris Drive, was arraigned before District Judge William Todd on four counts of endangering the welfare of children, two felonies and two first-degree misdemeanors; five counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count of simple assault, second-degree misdemeanors; criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, third-degree misdemeanors; and summary harassment.
The criminal complaint states that Lewis Run-based state police were dispatched to a domestic dispute at 7:20 p.m. Saturday at 1 Cris Drive. Through investigation, police learned that during an argument with a man, Harp stabbed the man in the hand with a “sharp pointed object,” causing minor injury, and struck him several times in the head.
The man asked Harp to leave and locked her out of the house. While she was locked out, she used an outside chair to break a rear window in the home; the children were in close proximity at the time she broke the window, according to the complaint.
She also was yelling inside and outside the home, creating a disturbance in the residential neighborhood, court records indicated.
A press release from Lewis Run-based state police — which did not name Harp but had the same circumstances — indicated that she was arrested without issue and taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
State police reported the alleged victims to be a 49-year-old man, an infant girl, a 1-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl.
Harp was released on $20,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for July 13.

Bradford man charged with trespassing
A Bradford man is facing allegations that he entered an apartment building while he was intoxicated on Saturday morning.
Sean M. Walker, 33, of Bradford, was arraigned before District Judge Richard Luther on charges of criminal trespassing, a third-degree felony; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and public drunkenness, a summary charge.
According to the criminal complaint, at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Bradford City police were dispatched to an apartment at 440 Congress St., Bradford Township, for a report of a male who entered an apartment and refused to leave. Neither of the apartment’s tenants knew who the man was.
One of the apartment’s tenants first saw the man — Walker — when he was talking to himself, moaning and sitting on the stairs in the hallway outside the apartment, the complaint stated. The tenant went inside her apartment, and a short time later Walker allegedly opened her apartment door, let himself in and sat on her couch.
She tried several times to get Walker to leave, holding open the door and telling him he had to go, but he refused, court records alleged.
According to the complaint, police arrived to find Walker in another hallway attached to the tenant’s hallway. Walker was taken to the Bradford City Police Station, where Bradford Township police met with him.
Court records state that Walker was “visibly intoxicated” and “was unable to recall where he had been (throughout) the evening, or where he was when he was met by police.”
Walker is free on $25,000 unsecured bail, and he is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on July 15.

Bradford man jailed for alleged assault
A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after he allegedly assaulted a female in a yard, then threatened to get a gun to shoot people.
Jabar M. Kasper, 22, of Bradford, was arraigned before District Judge Richard Luther on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment.
According to the criminal complaint, on Saturday, Bradford City police were dispatched to the area of 241 W. Washington St. for a report of a man holding a woman on the ground and punching her.
Police arrived to find a group of people in the Crosby’s parking lot who appeared to be arguing. After talking to witnesses and victims, police determined that Kasper had been holding the female in the front yard of 241 W. Washington St. and punching her, which prompted others to intervene and call 911, court records stated.
When they intervened, Kasper threatened to go inside his house and get a gun to shoot them, according to the complaint.
Kasper was committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $17,500 bail, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
