Elk and Cameron counties reported an increase of one COVID-19 case each over the weekend, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
That brings the total case count to 13 in Elk County and 3 in Cameron County.
Other local counties are holding steady with 15 cases each in McKean and Potter counties, the department reported. Testing negative were 1,464 people in McKean, 909 in Elk, 281 in Potter and 257 in Cameron.
On Sunday, the Department of Health reported 505 new positive cases for a statewide total of 85,496. The death count increased by 3 to 6,606.
Mask wearing is required in all Pennsylvania businesses.
Only one Pennsylvania county — Lebanon — remains in the yellow phase. Pennsylvania’s 66 other counties are in the green phase.
An estimated 6,484 of Pennsylvania’s total cases are in health care workers.
Of the total case count, 17,677 are in residents of nursing and personal care homes, and 3,212 are in employees of nursing and personal care homes, for a total of 20,889. No nursing/personal care home cases have been reported in the local area.
